teacher gift, part 1

Image

winter holiday season…always a super crazy time of year for many of us, especially if you have kids.  before we get consumed with  how we are going to over indulge our children with material goods they don’t really need, we take a moment to make sure we prepare gifts to our teachers and staff at their school.  a moment to say thank you.  thank you for loving our children, teaching them, being with them all day long…all day long.  if i could i would shower them with cash!

but i don’t have lots of cash, unfortunately.  but this gift described in this post is affordable, personal, and i think pretty cute.

anyway, i generally prepare a standard gift given to all teachers.  this year it’s 25 people.  that’s a lot so i needed to have a bit more variety.  i mapped it out where the head instructors are receiving a small themed package having to do with relaxing over the break.  support staff will received homemade baked goods (i’m not the best baker so only wanted to make a few of these), and head administrators will receive a different gift as well.  more details will be forthcoming.

for our beloved music teacher, who does a phenomenal job as a solo instructor to over 650 students, i wanted to make something fun and music related.  i found this great Bob Marley quote online and created the image with varying fonts and sizes in Photoshop.  Printed and framed, it makes for a fun and very affordable gift.

Print: pennies for the card stock sheet of paper and ink from home printer

Frame: Ikea, $1.99
