this lovely vanity needs a new home and luckily, we have just the right place.  a sweet friend who is forever perfectly accessorized and smiling, will receive it as a holiday gift.

a gift given to my daughter years ago was once loved, used, and stuffed with all sorts of jeweled accessories.  sadly it has been tucked away in the back corner of her closet collecting dust.  and it had a variety of crazy stickers all over it.

made of solid wood, this well-made piece of furniture retails for well over $150 new.  i gave it a  good scrubbing, disassembled it, and went to town with 2 cans of glossy red spray paint.

i sealed the entire piece, lined the drawer with fancy silver paper, screwed on a simple silver new knob, and voila- a shiny new-looking vanity.  this was a fun and simple upcycling project.

spray paint: $3.43/can at lowes.com

sealer: $2.99/can at lowes.com

silver knob: $1.99 at lowes.com
