leftover pallets…

we have  a number of wooden pallets in our yard, wasting away neglected.  every time i look at them i think, “we’ve got to use that for something”.  but then i walk away and it escapes my thoughts until the next time i walk by them.

so now that the weather is warmer, my excitement about turning these pallets into something grand is returning.

furniture.  that’s what i’ll do.  we do need a side table for the new ipe deck pokes built us in the yard.  or maybe a chair? i’ve seen images of pallets turned into adirondack chairs, but again, it doesn’t really fit the aesthetic i’m going for.

google it is.  i love google, and i love googling images for ideas… so much fun!

i found this first though on etsy.com…what a fantastic chair!

modern chair by wild cat wood work

or this one? i could make a cute lumbar pillow for it too…

this would make for cute seating for the kids, with a cute colorful pillow on it of course and not one that looks like it’s just for your butt…

i really like this for an arm chair, it’s simple but not sure how sturdy the back is…

i’m so inspired by this image…the chair design is by studiomama and you can purchase the plans for the chair so you can make it yourself.  brilliant!

now i just need our pallets to dry after all this crazy rain we’ve been having so i can get to work…
